DEXA - LS Spine Hips - Bone Densitometry

Bone densitometry also called dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) is helpful in diagnosing osteoporosis. It uses a small dose of ionizing radiation to produce pictures of the lower spine and hips to measure bone loss. DEXA also helps in monitoring the progress of the treatment and other causes of bone loss.
