  • Also Known As

A transvaginal scan (TVS), also called an internal ultrasound, is used to create images of a developing fetus and your internal organs including uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, cervix, and vagina. The test is done by gently inserting a narrow probe called a transducer inside your vagina. Your doctor may advise this test to confirm the pregnancy and for due date calculation.
