Rest MUGA

    A multiple-gated acquisition (MUGA) scan, also called a blood pool scan, is a nuclear medicine study that evaluates how well the heart is pumping blood. During the test, a small amount of radiotracer is injected intravenously and pictures of the beating heart are taken through a special gamma camera. The test can give vital information regarding why a patient is experiencing symptoms such as angina, dizziness and tiredness.
