MRI Brain With Cisternography

  • Also Known As

It is an imaging technique that creates pictures of the plasma-like cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). The fluid circulates through a system of cavities found within the brain and spinal cord. CSF is produced at a steady pace, which keeps the fluid in circulation around the central nervous system. The technique helps diagnose problems with the CSF flow like CSF leakage into the ear or nose, to find out the extent of brain damage caused due to trauma, and to detect CSF rhinorrhea.
