MRI Angiography Neck

  • Also Known As

It is a non-invasive imaging technique that uses a strong magnetic field, radio waves and a computer to create 2-D or 3-D images of blood vessels in the neck. The scan helps diagnose atherosclerotic (plaque) disease in the carotid artery of the neck, vessel occlusion or narrowing, and carotid artery stenosis. A contrast dye is used to better visualize the blood vessels.
