    Leptospira is a type of bacteria that causes an infection called Leptospirosis. The test helps find out an infection with Leptospira interrogans (L. Interrogans). The bacteria multiply in the liver, kidneys, and central nervous system. The signs and symptoms of infection could range from none to mild such as headaches, muscle pains, and fevers.
