Fecal Calprotectin

This stool (fecal) test helps detect inflammation levels in the intestines and distinguish between inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and non-inflammatory bowel conditions. It is also used to monitor the IBD activity. Calprotectin is a protein manufactured by white blood cells in response to inflammation.
