CT Pelvis

  • Also Known As

It is a noninvasive imaging technique that uses a rotating beam of X-rays to create cross-sectional images of the abdomen and pelvis. The scan can help diagnose problems in the uterus, bladder, prostate, liver and bowels. This test may be recommended by your doctor to determine if there is any pelvic injury, masses or tumors, abscess, broken bone, or bladder stones, as well as to find out the cause of pelvic pain. It is also useful in guiding a surgeon to the right area during a biopsy or other procedure.
