CT Angiography - Lower Abdomen with contrast

  • Also Known As

It is an imaging test that uses a rotating beam of X-rays to create detailed 3-dimensional images of blood vessels in the abdomen. A contrast agent is used to highlight weakened sections of arteries and to visualize blood flow. The scan helps diagnose the source of bleeding, aneurysm (widening of an artery), tumours in the abdomen, including cancer, and to find out the cause of abdominal pain.
