A C-Reactive Protein (CRP) Test is a blood test that measures the level of C-reactive protein in the blood.
Your doctor may recommend a CRP test as part of a health evaluation or to measure the level of C-reactive protein in your blood.
CRP (C-reactive protein) is a protein made by the liver. Its level in the blood may increase in response to inflammation, infection, or certain other health conditions.
A small blood sample is collected from a vein in your arm and sent to the laboratory for testing.
