Chloride

This is a blood test that is used to measure the levels of chloride in the blood. Chloride is an electrolyte (a type of mineral) that maintains a proper fluid and acid-base balance within the body. This test detects abnormal blood chloride levels that detect conditions like alkalosis and acidosis and helps to monitor high blood pressure, kidney disease, heart failure, and liver disease.
