In this diagnostic test, rotating beams of X-rays are used to create a 3-D model of the pelvic region (lower abdomen). A contrast agent is used to create better images of bones, organs, blood vessels, and other tissues. For male patients, the scan is advised by the doctor to visualize lumps or swelling in the testicles, undescended testicles, pelvic pain and urination problems. Female patients having abnormal vaginal bleeding, fibroids, pain in the lower belly, infertility and pelvic pain are advised to take up this test.
