CE CT Cervical Spine

  • Also Known As

A computed tomography (CT) scan of the cervical spine is used to get more detailed images of the vertebrae (bones of the spine). These images show thin slices of your bones, blood vessels, and other structures. Your doctor may order this test if you are suffering from neck pain, herniated disk, fractures, or to check injuries after an accident. In a contrast-enhanced CT, contrast agents are used for certain areas for better image clarity.
