We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nuclear Medicine Consultant with a specialization in PET-CT reporting to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the interpretation, analysis, and reporting of PET-CT scans, contributing to the diagnosis, treatment planning, and management of a diverse range of oncologic, neurological, and cardiac conditions. The consultant will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform the interpretation, analysis, and reporting of PET-CT studies for a wide variety of clinical indications, including oncology, neurology, and cardiology.
- Correlate PET-CT findings with other imaging modalities (CT, MRI) and clinical information to provide comprehensive and accurate reports.
- Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to referring physicians and other healthcare professionals in a timely manner.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings (e.g., tumor boards) to contribute to patient management decisions.
- Ensure adherence to national and international guidelines and protocols for PET-CT imaging and reporting.
- Maintain a high level of expertise in PET-CT technology, radiopharmaceuticals, and clinical applications.
- Contribute to the development and optimization of PET-CT protocols and procedures.
- Participate in quality assurance and quality control programs to ensure the highest standards of image quality and patient safety.
- Provide consultation and advice to other medical staff on the appropriate use of PET-CT imaging.
- Participate in clinical research activities and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of PET-CT.
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, technologists, and other personnel, as appropriate.
- Participate in continuing medical education (CME) activities to maintain and enhance professional competence.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including those related to radiation safety and patient confidentiality.
